Accounts created on or after April 8, 2019 will not have their DNS hosted by Twenty Over Ten. Instead, they will continue to host their DNS with their domain name provider or chosen DNS management system.
Users with older accounts can elect to switch to self-hosted DNS. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance retrieving your DNS records from our servers before switching to an alternative DNS host.
When you host your website with Twenty Over Ten, we also become the active hosts of your DNS. We host your DNS as part of hosting your website for several reasons. Hosting your DNS means we can provide fault-tolerant and redundant services to ensure minimal downtime. We are also only able to provide your website with a free SSL certificate if we have the ability to do DNS domain verifications quickly and regularly.
We become the active DNS hosts when you update your domain name’s nameservers to point to your Twenty Over Ten website. This is why it is very important to send us a copy of your most up-to-date DNS before you update your domain name’s nameservers. If you are working with a design team member on your website, that team member will walk you through the process of collecting your DNS. If you are a DIY user, you can send a copy of your DNS to email@example.com and one of our support team members will add your DNS to your record on our server.
Making changes to your DNS while it is being hosted by Twenty Over Ten is easy to do. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any DNS updates that you need to make and we will make those changes on your behalf.
